Designed for people thinking of starting up, or who are already involved in, a bed and breakfast

enterprise. Discover the benefits and pitfalls of this fast growing industry from an experienced

operator and member of the Bed & Breakfast and Farmstay SA Association. Covers understanding

the industry, business structures, marketing and costing your product etc. Fee includes Bed

& Breakfast Farmstay Accommodation Australia book worth $50.00.

SA INDUSTRY DAY 2011. 

   

 

Earlybird registrations (by  June 30th) are now sought for the SA Industry Day scheduled for Serafinos (formerly McLaren on Lakes), Kangarilla Road, Mclaren Vale 9.00 – 5.00pm on TUESDAY 16TH AUGUST. All Industry people are welcome.

Serafino McLaren Vale, formerly McLarens on the Lake, is situated in a serene native park like setting only 40 minutes from Adelaide Airport in South Australia's picturesque internationally recognised McLaren Vale wine growing region and has a reputation as a winery, conference centre and for its international cuisine.

For guests wanting to stay and enjoy the benefits of the region BBFAA has 13 member properties in the town of McLaren Vale and a further 8 within a 15-minute drive. Follow this link for details.

 

 

 

 

 
PROGRAM
 

While details are still being finalized, the program will be in three parts

(a)   An Industry Update Session including information on Accreditation, AAAT star ratings, compliance issues, and BBFAA directions.

(b)   Speakers on topics requested including

a.     Capturing the inbound market

b.     Appealing to the domestic market

c.     Using the Internet with telling effect

d.     Social media as a marketing ploy

e.     New technologies and where that may lead us.

(c)    A choice of 75 minute workshops – choose one from

a.     Working cooperatively rather than competitively within regions

b.     Basic small business approaches that work

c.     Hands on (bring your laptop) introduction to Face-book opportunities

d.     Advanced session for social media users to clinch sales.

 

The program is being organized by the Southern Fleurieu Bed and Breakfast group in conjunction with the State Committee. We believe that you will be delighted with the speakers chosen, and the direct relationship between your needs and the program offered.

For SA participants, the AGM of the BBFAA will be held at the end of the day.
